There is nothing better than biting into a fresh, juicy burger - with flavors that will keep your taste buds drooling! This burger recipe is a family favorite that will leave people wondering if you actually ordered take-out! With fresh butchered angus beef and the savory onion + garlic flavors, this will soon be a weekly at-home menu item.

Gather ingredients: (makes 8 patties)

  • 3 lbs angus lean ground beef

  • 1 1/2 pieces of white bread, dried + crushed into breadcrumbs

  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 2 scallions, thinly diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 8 slices Monterey Jack Jalapeño cheese (or alternatives)

  • 8 Cobs Bread traditional hamburger buns

Toppings:

  • 1/2 head of lettuce, chopped

  • 3 tomatoes, sliced

  • 2 white onions, sliced (or sauteed)

  • sweet or kosher pickles

  • ketchup

  • mustard

  • mayonnaise

Let's Get Mixing:

  1. Heat grill or skillet on a stovetop to medium-high heat.

  2. In a large mixing bowl - mix together the breadcrumbs and milk, until it forms a paste. Add the salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire and ketchup and mix well.

  3. Add the ground beef and scallions, mixing well with your hands until all is combined. Form into 8 1-inch balls and place them on parchment paper. Flatten the balls with a fork to form burger patties.

  4. Grease the pan or oil the grates and place patties on high heat, cooking for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side until nicely browned.

  5. When burgers are cooked, turn heat off and place the Monterrey Jack cheese on top until it melts.

  6. Heat the buns, serve with toppings and bon appetite!

*Angus beef is better for flavor, high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids and a good source of overall minerals like iron and potassium that your body needs to healthily function.
