Maple + Brown Sugar Overnight Oats

Updated: Apr 16

This recipe is a must-have for moms and busy mornings! They are so sweet, packed with protein and a great source of fiber, need I mention - QUICK! No-fuss mornings begin tonight!

Maple/Brown Sugar Overnight Oats

Gather ingredients: (makes 2 servings)

  • 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats

  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp flax seeds (can use hemp hearts or both)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 cups almond milk (can substitute with whole milk or coconut milk)

  • Pinch of salt

Let's Get Mixing:

  1. Place the oats in two separate jars. Make sure the jars can be sealed air-tight (or use plastic wrap and a rubber band - yes! sometimes we improvise). Top both jars with flax seeds, brown sugar and a pinch of salt.

  2. Add the milk and 1/2 tsp of vanilla into each jar, make sure it's enough to cover the oats + seeds.

  3. Pour in the maple syrup, top with cinnamon.

  4. Seal and set in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results!

  5. (Optional) Can add peanut butter, dark chocolate chips or sliced apples for added flavor and nutrients.

*This dish offers healthy benefits that include reduced cholesterol levels, healthy heart function, promotes improved intestinal tract health and a great source of overall energy!
